The shoes themselves are excellent and serve their purpose but when we took them out of the box the spikes along the inside (arch) of the entire shoe were along with others Worn on parts of the shoe giving the impression that they have been previously worn for an extended period of time. I wasn't expecting to see so much normal wear and tear on a 'brand new' pair of shoes. Had I bought them for a real formal event and not as a Halloween costume accessory I would have been very disappointed to receive shoes that have already been worn.
