Doesn't fit at all! Sharpen your boots!

Boots are very difficult to mount on 8mm Taylor wire. A ton of fat. Good luck trying to separate them. Can work well with 7mm. But not suitable for 8mm Taylor silicone wire at all. Sliding silicone on silicone. I fixed it and was able to get it working. I sharpened the boots with a 3/8 shaped drill bit. The boot is still tight and with a little boot lube it slides right in. This is not necessary for a new part. But it works.
