I ordered this USB 2.0 flash drive because of its physical attributes: rugged stainless steel construction for everyday keychain use. I chose a 32GB stick because I needed the FAT32 directory system; In my experience, the exFAT (sometimes referred to as uFAT) directory system, with capacities greater than 32GB, works well for writing to a blank flash drive, but is prone to error when the existing flash drive contents are modified. I had no trouble connecting this flash drive to my desktop computer's USB 2.0 port, where I tested the flash drive's write speed by writing defragmented video files from the hard drive to it. I was surprised by the variable write speed to a flash drive: for some video files, the write speed to a flash drive repeatedly fluctuated between 5 and 12 MB / s. I expect random drops in write speed on flash drives that have been in use for several years, but not on a new USB drive. Changing the write speed of this flash drive makes me question its electrical durability and IMO it deserves a minus one star.
