This is a wick. - Desoldering wick
Good wick. This is a great additional tool for solder suckers. This wick absorbs unwanted solder well. I don't think it's necessarily better than the other wicks I've used, but it's absolutely no worse. And it's not too expensive, not to mention the convenience.
