I use them as a drive only in a docking station to incrementally back up two of my laptops (one running Windows and the other running macOS). As with any hard drive, durability, speed and accuracy are the hallmarks of quality. So far they have been working exactly as expected for a week. If they fail prematurely I will definitely update my review. I found the price reasonable for a 2.5 inch 1TB 7200rpm hard drive. I'm having a hard time buying into the "SSHD" brand - it's nowhere near as fast as a real SSD, I don't see any speed advantage with even a small portion of the drive being an SSD, and I would never use it as primary gaming drive. With a backup disk running in the background, this is normal. (After using SSDs for so long, you forget how slow HDDs really are. Maybe it's a lot faster than a standard 7200RPM HDD, but my subjective frame of reference is so far off at the moment. And I don't have the time spent on objective acceleration Test it.) If I'm using the drive for any primary purpose, I'd spend the extra money on an SSD - the significant speed savings of an SSD are worth the extra money. The price of these discs seems to fluctuate more than most Revain products, so that factored into the value equation. Today the cost is 30% higher than a week ago when I bought it. Such growth will make me look for alternatives, of which there are many. Many people are very loyal to certain hard drive brands because of good or bad past experiences. I have experience with both types on each brand so unless there is an obvious manufacturing defect on a particular batch of rims it usually boils down to the price of similar specs. If I can get them for or less than what I paid for and continue to hold them, I will likely continue to buy them.
