Good monitor. I am in favor of not using ribbon cable but using wires with connectors which are much more durable and take a small amount of use and abuse well. Make sure you have a power supply capable of producing 12V 2A or more. But even at 2a, if you use a power supply that claims to be capable but isn't, the monitor/control board will not work properly. Plugging in one of these (a lying power supply) in my setup caused the monitor to turn off literally every second. Using a reinforced 12V 3A brick solved this problem. Power issues aside, this is a solid monitor setup. I will use it to display dmd on a small virtual pinball table.
