The factory spec for my car says the upper arm nuts should be torqued to 140 ft-lbs. The bolts in this set are stamped 10.9, which is roughly grade 8, but at least one bolt broke the threads before reaching the target torque, preventing the nut from moving the bolt in any direction. I had to use a grinder to cut the nut, which was done with amazing ease. One would think that this is probably the cause of the cross thread, but no. Thread breakage only occurred when the nut was threaded onto a frame component and the torque exceeded 100 ft-lbs. Probably a bad factory bolt, but I don't trust my suspension to cheap imitations and sent this kit back to AC Delco.
