Edited: This device WAS described as a "wired electrical" power supply when purchased, which is completely incorrect industry terminology for this product! "Wired Electric" means the device has a power cord that plugs into an outlet, much like a table lamp. This box is actually a "hard wire" or "straight wire" that connects to an electrical system in a junction box on the ceiling (or wall, if you prefer). Edited: I see the seller recently corrected the PSU terminology. . Thank you! 🙂My experience: The electrical connection to our existing stairwell ceiling light that leads outside was missed when replacing our panel, so it doesn't work. I bought this light expecting it to have a plug cord due to the previous misleading description of "wired electric". I thought it would be a fantastic alternative to spending money on batteries for a battery powered device. Lighting this stairwell should have been a quick fix for us (until we get a qualified electrician to reconnect the power to the existing light) and not an electrical project for us! Unfortunately, a star will not change BC. from my frustrating experience leading to having to return this light block. I was very angry but the seller fixed everything. Thank you! 🙂 Now I'm just a little annoyed. 😅 Mr/Ms. Seller, I admire your honesty! 👍👍
