I contacted the company before purchasing and they were quick to respond to my questions (stating that replacement filters should be available soon and that they do NOT produce ozone ) . The device is still working great after a few weeks. It runs on battery or when plugged in, which will be a great feature for on the go. On its lowest setting, it's about as loud as a laptop fan running at low speed, so it's not at all distracting on my desk while I'm working. (I doubt I'll use higher, louder settings.) I also really appreciate that it doesn't have any bright distracting lights, just a tiny green operating light and barely visible red loading lights. The air at my desk feels a lot cleaner and fresher when it's on, and it even does a pretty good job of sending cat hair flying through the air when my cat jumps on my lap (that's basically what I got it for). ).
