I didn't realize I needed them until I started reading about unused WiFi antenna ports. I set up a point-to-point WiFi (PP) connection to get internet access to a remote building. I only needed a unidirectional antenna on the access point, I screwed the antenna cable to one port and left the rest empty. It turns out that if you don't terminate unused ports on the back of the access point, problems can arise. I don't really understand this, but I took the opinion of many internet experts. After attaching these terminators to unused ports on my access point, my point-to-point WiFi is now buzzing! It consistently gives me 100% readings for signal strength and call quality at 200 feet. These connectors have upgraded a very good connection to a great one!
