Worked fine when I first connected it to my XR. The second time and every subsequent attempt, the iPhone didn't recognize it. Waste of money I didn't have. I couldn't return it as my photos and videos were on it. iCloud is a joke. If you delete it from your phone, it will also be deleted from the cloud. Then not sure what the point is. To free up space, they installed a smaller size on your phone, so it took a while to open anything. I do not want it. More money was spent there. Then I discovered that Revain has an app that backs up all your photos and videos (free if you have Prime). You have to pay for extra video storage if you have a lot of videos like me. Totally worth EVERY PENNY! Doesn't even cost much for the extra storage, a small annual fee. You can access your photos and videos from anywhere. You just have to remember to open the app when you go to bed. I live in the country and our WiFi is the worst so I still have 500 videos, that's the only negative. I can't do this while streaming or buffering a movie, yes the WiFi is SO bad. So, anyone want to buy paperweights for $130? Seriously, I thought I was smarter than the people watching the smaller version of this. I was not. It will show up once, but then won't allow you to copy anything else. I actually lost the photos and videos I deleted believing they were in that piece of junk. I suspect (yes I know) that I can plug this into my computer and transfer it :D MAYBE it will work as an external hard drive for my computer which I don't need at all. I have 3 that I don't use. It can be a good gift as an external drive if it works that way. Idfk. It's garbage! Flea market $1.
