This light bar is amazing in its own right and has excellent light quality too. I was very, VERY pleased with the quality, plus the wide range of light distribution angles. During the "one person installation" I managed to drop the light bar onto my carpet THREE times. The lights were still working when I finished the installation. (One stopped working after about 15 minutes. Although that was to be expected) Now for the "minus" that resulted in the review being deprived of at least 1 star out of 5. The mounting plate is not wide enough for the base to fit the lamp snugly and "flush" with drywall. The included mounting bracket had to be a large diameter as the base of the light was drawn into the drywall (not flush) and that would NOT allow me to attach the base to the 2 "pegs" on the mounting plate. assemble like this. So I pulled out the cables and used some of my woodworking skills to complete the installation. valla the task is solved. The problem with the light is the diameter of this mounting plate and the body of the mounting glass needs to be made a bit deeper to allow room for the wires. It seems I came across a similar review with an identical problem before purchasing.
