I went straight to the keyboard with a mouse from the same model. Everything has been done really nicely; I endorse. It functions when connected to the laptop. Ipad connection is functional. It doesn't immediately connect to the laptop. Must be manually added. If your laptop asks for one, you might even need to type in a password and remember to hit the "inter" key. Nevertheless, I'm happy with the purchase.
