Review on Leupold Quick Release Binocular Harness by Joe Roberts

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The product uses poor materials for expensive optics. (This belt will break sooner or later)

This is really consistent with what other people have stated in the one star reviews. I gave it two stars as I used it before it broke. My problem was similar to others. The light cord (hanging clamp) holding the binoculars broke unexpectedly (while I was above the water) after very light use. I've looked at the cable and it's really just a matter of using the wrong materials. NEVER would a high quality optics company use such a mediocre piece of material to attach a high quality (and expensive) optic to a strap. Shame on you Leupold. I have an old Leupold spotting scope that has been in use for almost thirty years. Outstanding quality! While this strap is very comfortable, it's just poorly made. The corners were cut with inferior materials. Very disappointing. I will use the Leupold name again when purchasing optics and accessories in the future.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
