I bought a complete set of Moog ball joints for my wife's ML320 car. Unfortunately, the crown/locknut on the rear lower ball joints does not fit the Mercedes special socket to tighten. (A front lower BJ nut will fit.) Why Moog sells front and rear pivots with different nut sizes is a mystery or a bug. Then there was little lubrication in the rubber boot on one of the upper ball joints. When installing and compressing, I noticed that the grease didn't reach the entire trunk. Of course, the quality of BJ depends on the mileage. The original BJ upper had 150,000 (miles) before the boots went bad so I went ahead and replaced them. And the 150,000 factory downshifts were fine, but I wanted to replace them all while the car was on jacks.
