This adjustable wrench has become my favorite. Small enough to fit anywhere a traditional sickle would fit, but since you can squeeze them with a lever you're MUCH less likely to round the nut/bolt heads. With a crescent you set it and then start tightening and once you start tightening you don't feel it until you get that horrible "jump" and round the flats of your bolt. We've all done it before and know that feeling in your stomach all too well when you wonder if that nut/bolt is going to be a monster because you just screwed it up. This design compresses under torque so you can feel how much force you're applying and it's always flush with flat surfaces. I haven't tested it, but I'm pretty sure I can apply a lot more torque to the bolt without damage than I could with a better crescent wrench. Because the jaws stay parallel when squeezed, I've found myself using them like smooth-jawed pliers for fine work. I can use a lot more leverage and press harder than with smooth-jaw needlenose pliers or duck nose pliers, and they press evenly. The setting is unique, just push and slide the button. Works so well you only pick them up to play around with. The only downside is that yes. They're expensive. Yosa! But they are REALLY good tools.
