Review on πŸͺŸ Frosted Grid Privacy Window Film: Non-Adhesive UV-Protective Static Cling for Home Office (17.5 x 78.7Inch) by Michelle Stewart

Semi-private on Window Film

First, understand that this particular pattern is not fully private: you can clearly see through the lines between frosted squares. So this is best for a location where you want to block the main view but still let the light through. I use this on the wash window which is relatively high up outside my home so complete privacy is not an issue. Manufacturers of these films are doing the consumer a disservice by tightly rolling the product in the opposite direction of installation: this means that the film is actively trying to roll away from the window. For this reason, I always start by rewinding the entire tape and leaving it that way for at least a day before mounting it; hence the smooth side will try to "wrap" onto the glass instead. I use a spray bottle with water and dish soap in it to create a very wet and slippery surface on the window. The clear backing can be difficult to peel off, I use a pin to grab the corner. You'll need something to scrape (a credit card will do) and a very sharp blade. Make sure you leave a very small edge of the glass all the way around - don't overlap the window frame - this means it can lay perfectly flat when drying.
