Other reviews claimed it was too difficult to assemble and didn't work properly. By my estimates, from the moment I threw everything on my bed to the moment I put it on the edge of the bed, it took about 5 minutes. 8 months pregnant. It's literally 4 pieces, 4 screws in the 3 piece base and the top snaps into place. I can't understand how anyone could put this together wrong, but it could be pregnancy brain. The device feels solid, with a solid metal frame with plastic end caps. New car smell, I'm glad I assembled it (hopefully) a month early to allow it to air properly, but I'm sure the smell will dissipate within a few days. There are pockets in the corners opposite the bed, which I missed in the description, perfect for stashing diapers/tissues/whatever. And the set comes with a sheet which I don't see in the description. The top is removable and washable, and the mattress is waterproof, although I would still put a pad underneath for easier cleaning.
