Eh, I thought of taking this lens, hoping for positive feedback from underexperts. The lens is extremely bad, I compared it with the whale 18-55 on the target, checking the sharpness (at different apertures), and the whale lens did it. In fact, the lens turned out to be neither here nor there. Dark for portraits, soapy for landscapes. It’s better to take 17-55 IS USM (or 18-55 IS STM) and 55-200 II for crop, these lenses will handle all scenarios simply gorgeously in a pair. If it is not possible to take two lenses and carry them with you, then it is better to take 18-135 STM for crop, it is much sharper than 15-85 (I personally checked it), but it is inferior in colors, but this is not such a problem as spoiled sharpness. Shoot in RAW and rotate colors by hand. I attached a photo as proof, 15-85 on the left, 18-55 on the right, lower right corner. But it lathers 15-85 on the left as well, so this is definitely not a lens defect. Plus, his center is sharp, if there was something with glass, then the center would be soapy. At the same time, I have a completely new 15-85, and 18-55 killed in the trash, I think the new STM will be even better.
