I wanted it to work, the build quality looks good, the packaging is very nice and there were detachable plastic adapters on both ends of the cable. I spent about an hour connecting it to a Lenovo USB-C docking station. I had an old DisplayPort to HDMI adapter cable on another computer. I switched it to dock and the same HDMI input on the screen. It worked fine. I installed a new adapter and it didn't help. Windows 10 Display Utility saw it but couldn't configure it and turned it off. I reconnected it logically and it disconnected it again. I tried the laptop with and without the Lenovo USB-C Dock driver, no change. So for my setup it was a bug. This might work for you. The customer service information in the box asks to contact them if you have any problems and they will respond within 18 hours. I just didn't have time for it anymore. I expect the cable adapter to be plug-n-play.
