After reading all the reviews I took a chance and was glad I did. I like small projects. I wanted a decent auto return player with a good cartridge. I ordered it and it looks nice with a nice flip plastic cap big enough for the tonearm to snap back on. I read the instructions and carefully and carefully installed the tonearm weight. Then I had to align the cartridge, it was obviously far away, so I printed and aligned Stupid Protractors -Baerwald from vinylengine.com. Installed and started, but the built-in preamp abruptly cut off the beginning and end of the songs. To be honest I think it sounds great, seems solid. With other purchases I still think it's good value for money as it's hard to find an auto return turntable in this price range.
