These socks are low cut and discreet. These are perfect for when I want or need to wear socks with shoes, but do not want the socks to be visible. The material of these socks is soft, thin, stretchy, and breathable for my feet. The thinness of the socks makes these ideal to wear with tighter fitting dress shoes and loafers. I really like these socks and would have given them 5 stars, but I noticed these had a strong chemical odor when I first opened and removed them from the package. I had hoped to be able to wear them right away, but the odor made me uncomfortable so I decided to wash all the socks before wearing them. The socks held up well in my washer and dryer. I washed them in cold water and then tumble dried them on the low setting. After being washed and dried just once, most of the chemical odor is gone.
