I was very hesitant to give up my processor (i7 7700k). I watched a lot of videos and read a lot about it, and it seemed to me that the Bauer Tool Mate 2 would be the best fit. Very easy to use and arrived in 3 days. My i7 7700k has been running very hot since day one, averaging between 40 and 100 degrees idling during Prime95 and other stress tests. The whole process was quick and easy using a tool, cleaning the silicon at the factory was time consuming but not difficult. Applying the Thermal Grizzly was tiring but fairly easy if you watch the video showing how it moves and how much to apply. I just taped off the four corners of the ihs and applied LM to both the paint and the bottom of the ihs. Now the i7 7700k idles at 28-30 degrees and hasn't exceeded 55 degrees from Prime95 and other benchmarks! This tool is amazing, I highly recommend it. Also mention that I have a H150i pro and 9 case fans and had high temperatures prior to Delid. I hope this review helps, if I could then anyone can!
