with motherboard heatsink my Corsair mp600 heated up to 70°C and then thermally throttled for 5 seconds in a Crystaldiskmark test. I had a terrible performance because of the temps. With this cooler my idle was 40 degrees and after two consecutive tests it rose to 43 degrees and quickly dropped back down. the thing works highly recommended
