These canvas panels are GREAT for small projects. They are very durable and well primed. I usually use them for rehearsals or to decide how I want to make a larger version of the same piece. The texture of the canvas is exceptionally good. The teeth are enough to grab the color, but overall you get a relatively smooth texture. If you want an even smoother texture, simply apply a Titanium White base coat over the primer for even more smoothing. I usually do this because I prefer breathing hard on ultra-smooth surfaces. In general, you won't find a better deal for bulky canvases. This is a great purchase.
