If you need a long retractable mount, this is it.

I used this ceiling mount for my outdoor cinema screen. This gives me the length I was looking for to lower the projector just below the ceiling fan. It also allows for some lateral movement from side to side. Perfect for what I needed it for. Most of the mounts I've considered won't be long enough, this one has room left.
