I usually make creme pies for our holiday gathering with friends. With the pandemic ending in-person gatherings I have been making individual size pies and delivering them to friends. My local market has quit carrying 5" disposable pie tins so I decided to try these, partly because they looked cool, partly for the good price, but mostly because Best Buy promised to get them to me by today, Christmas Eve.I was concerned if the coating would be able to withstand a short 350F bake to set the crusts but there were no problems. They are smaller than the disposable pot-pie tins I used at Thanksgiving but still a reasonable size for a single serving desserts. The lids were very difficult to break free from the stack they were packed in and I tore one getting them loose. No biggie but still a bit disappointing. The lids were also difficult to get to snap in place on the tins. The issues with the lids were the reason for the loss of one star. They only arrived this morning but I have filled over a dozen of them with my two-layer chocolate silk pies which I will deliver Christmas morning. They are surely prettier than your basic aluminum pie tin and I know my friends will like them.
