I thought the belt was the wrong size initially, after reading further reviews, that's the way the belt is supposed to be and actually the manufacture even says there is a "knack" to getting the belt on. All you do is tie 2 zip ties around the belt and the main big drum pulley. Line grooves of belt aligned with grooves of motor shaft below the main drum. Then slowly start stretching the belt over the larger drum pulley slowly spinning the pulley until its tight. Then use your zip ties to fix the belt to the large pulley and then you slowly spin the pulley with a lot of force. The belt will stretch and that is normal.
