Review on Heavy Duty Speaker Wall Mount by Daniel Steele

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Love these brackets

These brackets are rated for speakers up to 22 pounds. I installed a pair of B&W 602 speakers weighing 21 pounds. The fasteners have not been subjected to any stress, so their rating is good. The plastic covers are fine and definitely make the mounts complete as there are no longer any mounting screws on them. Each bracket consists of two parts and plastic covers. You attach one part to the wall and the other to the back of the speaker. After assembling the two parts, take the speaker and hang it on the wall bracket. Also, there are two small screws on each bracket you install to prevent the speaker from detaching from the wall bracket. The speakers will not fall off these brackets. The screws provided are 2 inches long for the wall mount (4 screws). Drill an appropriately sized hole in the rack and screw it in place. The supplied screws fit. They are also supplied as a set. Dowels for concrete walls. Various screws are supplied to attach the bracket to the speaker. These are all mounting screws and are designed for speakers with threaded wall mount inserts, so if your speakers are wood like my B&W you will need your own screws. The plate that attaches to the back of the speaker has six mounting holes. I used all 6 holes and installed 6 #8 x 3/4" screws on each speaker. Rotating and tilting the speakers is very secure. There is a threaded rod running vertically (1/4" to 5/16" diameter). ) that forms the fulcrum. It has a self-locking nut and you can tighten it to increase the force required to rotate the speaker. For vertical adjustment, the same threaded rod has a thumbwheel in the center that you turn up or down, to raise and lower a heavy piece of metal that fits into a notch on the outside of the wall mount. This will hold the mount securely in the vertical tilt position you set. They look good, they work well, they're secure and the price is right. I highly recommend them.
