Review on Impressive IOGEAR Compact USB-C Docking Station with PD Pass-Thru - GUD3C03: Ultimate Connectivity Hub by Mark Green

Do not buy this if you expect HP Specter support. So here is the script. I asked about a supported USB-C dock for my HP Specter laptop. I wanted one that supports dual display when connected to a USB-C port. HP provided me with this docking station as a supported model. I then called IOGear and they told me that indeed it was. Glad to hear and proceeded to purchase this item. A few days later I got the dock, set it up and found that when I plug my laptop into the dock there is no display and an error message saying either the cable is defective or something wrong with what I'm connecting to connected the docking station is not correct . Notebook. I then called IOGear and was told they only tested this laptop on a docking station and it should work. I was told it could be the cable, so I spent an extra $50 on a 20GB USB-C cable. No die, failed. I then call IOGear back and they tell me it should work, but they can't fully test it because the tech has a laptop until the 20th (the only HP Specter the company has). Good. Remember it was 2 weeks before the 20th. So I waited with patience. On the 20th I emailed support and asked if they had a laptop and if they were being tested. Reaponse.no new update. See I rarely leave reviews and I'm generally very happy with my purchases but this has to be one of the worst I've ever made. Now I have a $179 brick that IOGear will not refund me. Do not buy this product.
