Review on 💧 DampRid FG30K Moisture Absorber Refill: 42-Ounce Powerhouse! by Donna Taflinger

I bought this refill kit for the two pack DampRid canisters that I also bought here at Revain. I initially assumed that I would need to change the material about every few months, but I'm happy to report that I didn't even have to change it every 6 months. While I haven't technically had to use the package I bought, the original material has far exceeded my expectations. I use this material to maintain humidity in a fermentor freezer. Before its introduction, I was constantly struggling with moisture build-up, mold issues, and other issues directly related to high humidity. Then no problems. Better yet, I've used at least six months from the original case, so even with a maintenance schedule and almost daily use, one of these bags will easily last me a year or more. With the total cost of this stuff, there's little point in looking for a DIY alternative. It probably won't save you much money. I like it. It's not an expensive chemical that can be bought in bulk for pennies just because you don't know what it is. (It's calcium chloride, by the way.) Of course, it costs a little more than wholesale. But you get a free identifiable bag and you can be reasonably sure it wasn't exposed to the air. That is a good thing. Their small containers are pretty good too. If you're looking for a way to control humidity, this (or a wholesale alternative) is ideal for you. 5 Stars!
