I bought two of these and two each of a large and small case. They are well built and have survived two hunting/camping trips well. The lids stayed secure when passing the brush and were easy to open even with gloves on. The tethers seemed indestructible and long enough to pull gear (e.g. range finder, GPS, radio) off my harness or my shoulder straps so I or my hunting buddy could easily use them for inspection. The Velcro fasteners on the back of the sleeves allowed for versatile attachment to the carrying straps, hip belt and trouser belt of my backpack. In addition, the covers remained securely attached while moving through dense thickets. Also, the case material is durable and definitely protected my gear. I've used other bags for similar purposes in the past, but I found them much better due to the retractable lanyard, secure closure method (quiet opening and closing with Velcro), attachment versatility, and solid construction. body material.
