Review on Vittoria Zaffiro Foldable 700X28C Black by Jay Liu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent durability and really good ride quality around town

Ride 40 years on the road and 30 years in the mountains. I have never ridden Vittoria products but needed a solid tire for commuting in 700x25c and saw the Vittoria Zaffiro. The Pro G2.0 received very good reviews for its durability and is significantly cheaper than the Continental GP 4-Season. Installed a pair of Vittoria Zaffiro Pro G2.0 tires on an 80's Masi converted to a single speed single speed machine. a solution I use for my daily commute to work in San Francisco. The Vittoria Zaffiro Pro G2.0 has a rounded profile and a surprisingly large contact patch for a 700x25c tire, but it still fits my 5th Gen Masi Campy Record Delta brakes, which have a particularly narrow clearance and not the fit height. some tires 25c. And the ride on the Zaffiro Pro G2.0 is great for such a solid tire. Swapped out a couple of Vredesteins for these and the Zaffiro suddenly feels decently quick yet much more comfortable around town. I wouldn't wear them on a road bike that's tight cornering at high speed due to the baggy profile, but other than that they're perfect for commuting. Haven't ridden in the wet city yet but the tread looks like it should be great. Installation was a breeze; even on Velocity Deep V rims. Very happy with the Zapphiro Pro G2.0. This is a fantastic commuter tire; I hope Vittoria sells a billion of these.
