I had a power outage that destroyed two fluorescent tubes. I have used them to install standard 4 tube 40 watt T12 fluorescent lights in my office. . I replaced two old magnetic ballasts in each fixture. You simply connect each end of the light to the appropriate colors. Both of my devices used a pigtail and separated the hot and ground wires. T12 fluorescent tubes are old-school, wider tubes. If you go to a hardware store you will see thin T8 tubes. This is for large pipes. It's that simple. They fit normal standard sizes, people who have trouble fitting probably have custom kitchen faucets.
