Works as advertised!

Used to replace old existing ballasts in my nine garage lights and they worked great! I had a handyman do the installation and everything went according to plan, he had no problems with the installation.

Pros
  • Multiple Competitors
Cons
  • Fine

Great fit. Much easier.

Works as intended. This ballast is slightly smaller and lighter than the original, but fits perfectly in the existing bracket. I had to cut long wires to connect to the existing wires on the tube contacts. Remember that you will need 6 small to medium sized wire nuts (blue or orange) to make these connections.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Reliability

Doesn't fit my light

My top tip is to try it out now, wire by wire on your light. The wires look correct, but if it matters most, the yellow ones on my mount are built into the mount. Maybe I can crack it, but I don't need fire. Unfortunately, I didn't get to it right away and the return period has "expired". Packaged Items. So goodbye money. Buy a regular light that can use traditional LED light bulbs.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • A few little things

Does not turn on immediately when used with two T-12 tubes

2 tubes slowly lit. They need 3 seconds to fully turn on. The old ballast, ACCUPro ap-rs-240rs-120, switched on immediately. Wire nuts are not included. If your light has never been ballasted, you will most likely need to cut the yellow, red, and blue wires that power the lamps. The wires on the ballast are long enough. If it wasn't in the basement I would send it back. Installation is no more difficult than any other.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Negative present

Fits standard fixtures - quick and easy

I had a power outage that destroyed two fluorescent tubes. I have used them to install standard 4 tube 40 watt T12 fluorescent lights in my office. . I replaced two old magnetic ballasts in each fixture. You simply connect each end of the light to the appropriate colors. Both of my devices used a pigtail and separated the hot and ground wires. T12 fluorescent tubes are old-school, wider tubes. If you go to a hardware store you will see thin T8 tubes. This is for large pipes. It's that simple…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Hard to tell

The product is excellent; Delivery is slow and poorly packaged.

No ballast issues. They work perfectly and fit seamlessly where the old magnetic ones were. Slightly slower but nice and bright. Works much harder. Shipping was slower (over 1 week) than I usually see as we are at a major transport hub. The ballasts were wrapped in bubble wrap but then placed in a crate with plenty of room where they tumbled around in transit. It's not that difficult to do, but then they didn't fit into the mounting slots in the bracket. Pretty minor, but problems can easily be

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other alternatives

Works but it wasn't easy

I think due to the hurricane my Amazon Prime took 2 weeks but finally I got the ballast, it was very different from the old one, about 1/4 size (like the same length) and about 1/10 the weight. It wasn't easy for me to follow the instructions, I just matched the colors of the old ballast and figured out how to install it on the same bracket, even though it was a lot smaller. I'm a little concerned that I might have done something wrong, but there didn't seem to be any polarity information, and…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

This worked great, replaced the same 2 bulbs with the specs of the old ones. Wow, bright light again, easy to install too. Turn OFF the switch on this light and remove the bulbs, remove the metal body by squeezing in the center to unhook/take off the metal cover. Then simply cut and remove the wire from the installed wire about 4 inches from the old ballast box. Unscrew the old ballast (usually with a screw). Connect the same colored wires from the ballast to the existing wires using the yellow

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
