I tested it by throwing it up and it burned for a while. After trying to play volleyball, he switched off. We wanted to play with glow sticks in the dark but ended up having to turn on the lights because the volleyball wasn't working. It's a rubber ball and the red stripes let light through. It looks cool when you're not playing with it. Changed batteries, didn't help. Electronic assemblies are garbage and cheap material. It worked like a volleyball, but the price is too high for its quality. Just skip it and buy a glow-in-the-dark ball, or better yet, buy a regular fabric volleyball and then cut open the glow sticks and pour the liquid over them. It actually works better than this product.
