Review on πŸͺ‘ Boraam Copley Adjustable Metal Swivel Stool, Light Green - Find the Perfect Height! by Robert Patton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

a touch of style at a decent price.

See attached photos. Assembly was very easy (it took 15 minutes to unbox and fully assemble) although the instructions were textless and a bit vague. The 8 hex screws are mostly color coded (which is a good thing as directions are pretty unclear on this matter) and are easy to tighten with the supplied hex wrench. The stem fits into the footpeg base and stem without fasteners, making it very easy to disassemble for moving/positioning. The backrest and especially the seat are well padded and comfortable. The stool comes in a wide range of heights - the seat is 26" at the lowest setting and 34" at the highest. It turns well under load and feels stable and solid. A few small notes: - I didn't think it would bother me, but the fact that everything under the seat is "chrome" but the rear metal brace is painted black. worries me a little. While this made assembly easier (by effectively color-coding the screws), it negatively impacted the aesthetics in my opinion. The fabric that covers the seat is the same that you'll find on almost any cheap office chair. I hope it is durable but only time will tell. I may choose to disassemble the seat and back to re-upholster, although a quick and easy cover might be the best solution as I'm not sure how easy it is to disassemble and re-upholster the pieces . The barrel and base are cheap plastic and have a few rough edges. cosmetically it matches the "chrome" look of the stem and base, but is so loose that it serves no purpose other than decoration - and in my opinion the stool looks better without it. - The collar on the base that holds the shaft is spot welded. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but in my experience it means the weld will crack sooner or later. I have access to a wire welder so I can reinforce it or fix it if the weld fails, but I understand that many people cannot and this may affect your purchasing decision. Overall the chair's "bones" are good, and for the price, it's hard to complain too much.
