This is a navy blue terry slacks. They're not thick enough for me to properly call them sweatpants, but they're definitely in that style. My 7 year old is of average height and slim build. They fit well in length, baggy in the waist, but again, the kid is a bean. One objection is that they only have a faux drawstring waist. The ties at the front are for decoration only and do not allow for waist adjustment. That means if they don't fit your child perfectly, they'll fall off. I managed to solve this problem by folding the waist, but that only works because my son is not very tall and the pants are a bit short. Another factor is the list price. Those are good pants. The bags are actually practical, decently made, padded, but comparable to items from Gap or The Children's Place for well under the $30 list price. Go shopping and decide what is best for you.
