All in all, this network radio is a great Zello device. I recommend this as an alternative to Sonim network radios which are typically more expensive. Excellent purchase! However, there are quirks that need to be addressed, but they are more like "first world problems" and can be lived with.1. Try to do most of your navigation with the keyboard as the touchscreen is small and almost impossible to type on... but if you use it for Zello it can be used for most functions, just remember this not to do. Don't expect to type fast or correctly with a touchscreen.2. The volume control can be finicky and not responsive the way you'd like. Just make sure by visual inspection that the volume is set as intended.3. The push-to-talk (PTT) button is great, but on long calls, people with arthritis or hand strength issues can find it difficult to hold the button down for long periods of time. However, if you have a Bluetooth headset you can program the Shift key in Zello (yes the T-320 has Bluetooth and works great) with one click to simulate holding down the PTT button, press the Shift key again and it will disable PTT .four. The T-320's microphone can overload the cello pickup, affecting vocal clarity, so use caution. You can manually reduce the audio recording level in dB to -1 (or if needed) or set it to automatic like i.5. If you are using the T-320 for Zello only, please remove Inrico's default radio apps as the apps will conflict with Zello and interfere with PTT unless you map Zello PTT to one of the alternate buttons on the T -320.6 new to . You don't need SIM card if you are always near WiFi, just use it in WiFi without SIM card. However, if you want to use the T-320 outside of WiFi, you will need a GSM SIM card. I suggest buying a Mint Mobile (US) SIM and getting 4GB of data for $15/month, more than enough data if you only use Zello and have a backup phone as the Mint plan comes with unlimited calls . and text and works on T-Mobile networks.5. Install F-Droid and install Orbot. Since it's made in China, it might be a good idea, while it might seem like overkill... but it won't affect Zello's latency too much, and it's better to be safe than sorry. You can also set up a VPN if you don't want to use the built-in VPN on Orbot... Again, the latency in Zello.6 is barely noticeable. Use the Aurora Store to sideload Zello APKs and other apps. Do not sign in to the Play Store with your Google account (be careful) or create a new Google profile specifically for your T-320.7. Although I wouldn't advise you can make it a "daily driver", but you will need a micro SD card (the more space the better), enable developer options and force install apps on external storage, before you download them, or sideload apps since the internal storage is sparse, to say the least. I think this covers most of my first world problems. Despite this lengthy explanation, it's a good network and works well. Oh, as an addendum, an external antenna might be more for beauty, but I've found that I get slightly better reception with the T-320 than my iPhone 12 Pro, and I use Mint Mobile on both phones. The main conclusion, the battery life of the T-320 is amazing! Of course I only use it for Zello, but with heavy use the T-320 lasts almost three full days on a single charge. This is a great purchase!
