The external key fob is an exact replica of the original key fob. Overall I am very satisfied with this. You have to open the old key fob, remove the electronics and insert it into the new key fob. I had no problems. The key fob comes with a blank car key and should be the "key" to your car. The blank key works smoothly in the interchangeable key fob. Instead of taking a blank key and tying it to my car, I replaced the blank key with my original. The problem is that the original key is thicker than the replacement key. I had to file the sides of the original key to make it less stable when the key's spring-loaded button was pressed to release it from storage. The more I use it, the smoother it runs. I would buy it again because of the price.
