Description of High-Quality Replacement Key Fob Case for Hyundai Sonata Santa Fe Flip Key Remote - Durable Protective Shell

This item isn't a remote key, it's just a remote key shell. NO (remote/electronics/ignition or transponder chips). Pls cut the key blade, take the internal electronics (include immobilizer/transponder chip) from your original remote and place them to our key shell, then it is OK! There's no programming needed. Best replacement for broken or worn keys, or great for an additional key. Shipping: 2-15 days. This is a replacement part to match the original in form and function.

May not fit - check keyway style

Hyundai Santa Fe 2013 - Interestingly I only had to replace the rubber button pad but the whole shell was a little cheaper. I tried moving the key into the new shell, but the torsion spring base in the new shell is slightly larger in diameter than the original key fob, so it didn't work. I ended up just tossing the button placket onto the old bunch of keys. As I was looking at other keychain options at Revain, I noticed that some of them have a center groove key and some have an offset key. Now

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No performance

Rubber button only replaced

I was looking at a previous post where a person just changed the rubber button so I bought one of these and tried to do it myself. Wola! It worked. I took a very small flathead screwdriver and carefully removed the knobs from both the old and new keys, inserted the screwdriver into the sides and pryed up. I placed the new button on my old key and pressed down the edges with my nails. You can also use shoe glue (shoe slime) under the rubber pad for a secure fit. Be careful not to get any glue on

Small problem, otherwise very good

The external key fob is an exact replica of the original key fob. Overall I am very satisfied with this. You have to open the old key fob, remove the electronics and insert it into the new key fob. I had no problems. The key fob comes with a blank car key and should be the "key" to your car. The blank key works smoothly in the interchangeable key fob. Instead of taking a blank key and tying it to my car, I replaced the blank key with my original. The problem is that the original key is thicker…

Worked great for my 2015 Sonata Sport flip key ring.

I read the reviews and suggestions to just replace the rubber seal and I can definitely say I was glad I took advantage of the offer to go the easy way. I'm pretty sure the original key fob that came with the car is glued together at the factory, making it almost impossible to disassemble unless you're very good with hand tools and sharp knives. All you have to do is use a small jeweler's screwdriver. or an exacto knife to pry open the silver trim around the buttons, and then pry up the button…

Working on repairing an old key with broken buttons

The buttons on my Sante Fe key are worn and broken. There were videos on YouTube how to use it to change keys, remove the internal transponder chip and motherboard and put them in this new case. But I found a much easier way to fix this in my case. You can gently pull out the buttons and silver ring, and then take out the black plastic piece that is under the rubber buttons. Gently slide the rubber button element onto this black plastic element. Then, on your original key, pull out the old…

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Great price

Purchased for Hyundai Santa Fe 2014 to replace the key fob where the buttons started falling off. The key blade clearly did not match the old key. The grooves on the key are not the same size. The piece of metal (chrome piece above the key release button) that holds the key blade has a larger hole on one side than the original. I tried putting the original key in the new key fob but it didn't work. The hole that serves as a pivot point for the folding key is smaller on the original key blade…

  • Hard to say

A small but very annoying problem

I bought this product twice because of the same problem. Buttons work fine. Replacing the key and internals is not difficult at all; However, the spring that causes the key to pop out when the silver button is pressed does not work with the spare key. I had to turn it several times but the key still doesn't come out. Just to make sure I'm doing it right I looked it up on YouTube and you really have to turn the spring until it's tight enough for the key to pop out. 1-2 turns were not enough to…

Pros
  • Handsfree

By far the cheapest way to replace a key!

The cheapest way to change your key! The rubber locking button on my key fob broke and I called the dealer to ask for a price of $340! I called the local locksmith, $110! Revain had this bowl for only $10 when I ordered. Compared to other options, I was willing to bite the bullet and lose $10 if I had to go to a locksmith. I first watched a few YouTube videos on how to do this, then sat down at a clean work surface with a small pry bar and a sharp knife and began to carefully cut up and…
