The buttons on my Sante Fe key are worn and broken. There were videos on YouTube how to use it to change keys, remove the internal transponder chip and motherboard and put them in this new case. But I found a much easier way to fix this in my case. You can gently pull out the buttons and silver ring, and then take out the black plastic piece that is under the rubber buttons. Gently slide the rubber button element onto this black plastic element. Then, on your original key, pull out the old rubber button and silver trim. Then carefully pull out the black plastic piece. Lastly, carefully insert the silver trim into your old key, then carefully insert the new rubber button and black plastic piece into your old key. It was much easier than cutting out the transponder chip. , and replacing the cut key with an uncut one on a new case.
