These OR crocodiles are extremely durable. This is our second pair. We bought our first pair over 4 years ago and have hiked in them every week, year round, in all weathers and very rough terrain ever since. In Southeast Idaho we travel through rocky (often lava) areas. Other spats just can't take the constant abuse of such conditions. Stones, snow and ice, mud etc. simply roll off the OR Crocodiles. When we wear them out - four or five years from now - we'll buy another pair. They're definitely the best we've found!
