Review on Versatile and Waterproof: Mountain Warehouse Fell Womens 3 in 1 Rain Jacket - Microfleece by Christina Miller

Nice and cozy for women

Benefits: Very warm and cozy fleece lining. It's soft, fairly thick, and looks pretty premium. I get cold easily, but this coat is comfortable for me. There is a layer of Velcro over the zipper to protect against water. Nice deep zip pockets. I can safely put my phone in and don't have to worry about it shaking when I walk fast. I like baggy coats, and the fact that it's big means it fits me the way I like it, with room for layers. Even with a fleece lining, I can wear it over a sweater. It's not too fat and bulky. I can bend my arms comfortably without the material getting in the way like I do with thicker jackets. Cons: The size is too big and to be honest I'm guessing this is a men's jacket. (It definitely has men's sized pockets.) I checked the sizing chart on Mountain Warehouse's website and concluded that I probably wanted an 8, but read the reviews and went for a 6 instead. The coat is still roomy enough to me. I definitely think 8 is too big. Waterproof could be better. While it's great in a drizzle, the water starts to seep in about fifteen minutes in continuous rain. I would feel awkward leaving my phone in one of the outside pockets when going for a long walk in the rain. Unfortunately, the coat isn't suitable for the Seattle weather, so I guess I'll have to combine it with an umbrella. Although for snow it will probably be great. - Fleece lining fastens in the sleeves with a button that attaches to an elastic cord. This gives the fleece sleeves a few inches of slack even when buttoned up, so they always stick out about an inch from the shell sleeves when I put my coat on. The hood is fairly thin and light and won't sit still when you're moving quickly unless you use a drawstring to pull your mouth together. It doesn't go well with my goggles which don't fit well with the hood up. I realize my list of cons looks longer than my pros, but it's still four stars because it's a warm, comfortable coat made from quality materials that feel to it. As long as you don't make my mistake of using it as a raincoat, you'll probably be very pleased, and it's hard to beat fifty bucks for a 3-in-1 coat.
