I am 5ft 9in and 170-175# tall. When I last checked my hips were 41-42 inches and my actual waist (just above my belly button) was 32-34 inches. i am long legged From low hips to floor I'm 41 inches tall; from waist to floor I am 43.5 inches tall; and the top of the shoulders to the floor; My height is 57.5-58 inches. I ordered XL because the reviews said it was 1. Runs a little small, 2. According to the size chart, 3. I can sew so would prefer more over less. Size XL fits perfectly. There is a belt (not elastic) at the waist that allows for some slack at the top. Actual size is taken from the inelastic seam where the round shirt meets the 1 inch waistband. The XL gave me enough room to breathe and move without the waist seam cutting into me and feeling like it was about to rip. I could probably go with the Large and be okay, but if I never have to stuff my ass in another pair of Spanx for the rest of my life. You know. Skirt length is amazing! It's incredibly difficult for me to find floor length dresses/skirts up to my height. In the photos I'm wearing 1 inch heels (Earth Serrano shoes, google for reference). Skirt STILL in the floor with heels. The BEST thing about this skirt is that it's a bit puffy, so walking around the house in heels AND flats, the skirt has NEVER gotten under my toes. If you are tall and looking for a formal skirt, THIS IS IT! The material is smooth and offers a subtle sheen that is not unpleasant or tasteless. I'm not a fan of haute couture so this skirt looks classy and of great quality to me (although fashionistas might say they aren't, idk).
