Review on ๐Ÿ• Ultimate Control: Guardian Gear Martingale Adjustable Choke-Style Dog Collar by Megan Gardner

Best training collar for our 20 lb pug mix

Within a day of using this collar my pug mix received a message to stop pulling on the leash during walk time . It does not suffocate or harm her in any way. Unlike a choke chain, a martingale collar simply applies pressure to the dog's neck, preventing serious injury. For restless or hyperactive dogs with an unruly steak, this is a wise purchase. You will perform better when training your dog with this type of collar. I used the choke chain on my pug mix for half a day but had to take it off because it was still pulling to escape. If I hadn't removed the chain and replaced it with this martingale collar, I'm sure she would have been injured, possibly to the point of death if I wasn't careful. Finally, before we bought any training collars, we used a harness collar on our pug mix but did not find it suitable for dogs that like to pull as it allows dogs to pull harder and with more force like sled dogs do. When our Pug mix learns to stop pulling completely, we transition her to a regular collar. In the meantime, let's enjoy the results of this martingale collar.
