Review on πŸ₯ 1-Gallon Small Cage Waterer for Chicks, Quails, Pigeons, and Gamebirds by Chris Russell

Excellent for many reasons!

This is a great way to keep my 4 feathered ladies nourished! I hang this on the fence where they tend to loosen up with 2 short bungee cords allowing me to quickly reach out and grab rather than having to go out into the yard. That and I can easily add ice on hot days or warm oregino tea on cold days. I also have 2 large troughs in the garden but I use these primarily for alternating doses of vitamins, orenote tea, apple cider vinegar etc. I plan to replace my large troughs with these when they wear out. What I encounter with large bodies of water, if I don't fill most of them (needs more nutrients to adjust the ratio) they tip over easily when the hens bump into them while digging. And since this one is hanging from the fence, I can lift it up just enough so that it doesn't get clogged with leaves, straw, wood shavings, etc. when digging next to it. The only thing I see sometimes is mud goggles. Collecting dirt on the beak at the bottom of the cup. But what I like most is that I can change the water frequently without having to put on my work shoes and go out into the yard every time. By the way, the comments about water coming out of 2 holes where the handle is, uh oh! I prefer a sturdy metal pin to a plastic pin in the hot Texan sun, it lasts longer and the easy fix is not to fill it up that high :) It's still a gallon of water and makes measuring ratios a lot easier and less waste ( if you give fresh water frequently).
