Great investment

I bought this ring light because I shoot YouTube videos and I usually shoot at night. When I first received it I noticed that there were no instructions on how to assemble the product with the indicator ring. Since I am challenged in all things that require training, I turned to the company. The support team was very nice and referred me to a video with step-by-step assembly instructions. After watching a few videos I was able to assemble the ring light pretty quickly. There are several settings for how strong the ring light should be. None of the different settings mean anything to me, but after experimenting with different settings and finding what works best for my needs, I settled on the lowest setting. I can get clear, well-lit video with no shadows or flashbacks. The ring light comes with a case that you put the detached ring light in for protection. I think it's a good gesture since I travel with it, but it would be nice if there was a strap to hold the foldable base. But for now I just carry it under my arm. It comes with two attachments. One for a phone and the other for an iPad or similar tablet. I use a phone mount, it's nice and durable. My only complaint about the phone mount is that it doesn't have a two button snap to hold the phone securely in place. It has a screw that you can loosen and tighten to secure the phone. I just find it a bit dated and would like to see an auto loosen and tighten feature. I like the wireless remote that comes with the ring light so you don't have to manually change the ring light settings. This makes working in the tightest of spaces much easier. It also features a Bluetooth on/off button that allows you to start and stop videos. It's not necessary, but just an added convenience. I really like this ring light. I really wish there was a guide for us folks with tech issues. I would also like to see a feature on the ring light pocket to hold the kickstand. This way all the details stay together during the ride and nothing is accidentally left behind. I think this ring light is a great investment. Although the price is higher than some others, I spent that and more on a couple of ring lights, which broke pretty quickly, casting shadows across my face while filming and falling on me no matter how I rotated the stand. I've used it for a few videos now and it hasn't broken once on me. It's comfortable and meets my expectations and then some. I believe this ring light is a great investment for anyone looking for a quality ring light that won't break the bank.
