This heavy metal bottle stays cold for a long time. A few years ago I bought a set of three plastic Brita filter bottles and foolishly gave two away. Your carbon filters stop at many gas stations, and if you're unsure about the quality of your tap water, filtering the water seems to prevent disease. I also have a couple of water bottles with a superbug filter, but the mechanics are so complicated it doesn't seem like getting much water. The closed lid and straw mechanism are easier to clean than my old Britas and seem to protect the mouthpiece more effectively. Call me paranoid, but I usually water my large Brita painting before I pour her water in this one, so the water is double filtered. This bottle has no metallic or other aftertaste.
