After Hurricane Harvey, I had to live in an RV in my driveway for several months. I had to buy several of these hoses to get to the sewer. When I bought the first batch, two were not bolted together tightly. They didn't snap, but I was able to get this to work. Since this was my first time dealing with sewer hoses, I just didn't know any better. Then a few months later the lawn mower finally cut my grass and they accidentally cut two hoses with the planter. So I ordered two more. Well, one of them was the same. It doesn't snap. Approached but not closed. I asked my neighbor who lived on wheels for a long time to look at them but he said they were defective. The problem was that I couldn't return them because my tanks were full and I had to dispose of them! So I glued them together and so far I haven't had any problems. So almost 1/2 of the hoses I ordered were defective. My advice: buy before you throw away and NEED to return the faulty ones. Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of having time on my side. :around(
